Newsies Newbies... and 'out with the old'

We had this team party last night, my last in the team and for all practical purposes ‘the last supper’. There were exactly 13 people there as well. (2 morons not included while counting). Antya and Me we rather quiet for a change, The Desolate One did make an attempt to enliven things, but then it was one man's efforts, not three... it's me to pack my bags in 3 days and Antya to pack his bags in another coupla weeks and move on...

And then today morning (during the bus ride) my phone for some reason hangs while mid way through ‘Wish you were here’ and I had to tolerate Himesh for a whole 2 minutes.

Also the Antagonist , with a splitting headache since the morning found a magical cure in Himesh’s voice.. the voice makes you so numb that you forget your headache.. that’s what actually happened to the antagonist.. try out for yourself if you may (*** at your own risk).

Wish I were as optimistic as Antya… this dude’s music gives me the headaches (creeps apart).

AC Milan (the team I back) is out in the champion’s league semis. I’m perilously close to depression now although I have to concede that Barca definitely deserved to go through to the finals.

Quite a few hints…

And then there was Sallu scooting to Dubai and getting praised for it.

Aamir deciding to keep ‘rang de basanti’ (that confused movie) character he played to the movies just when most of Gujarat was about to take up arms and lynch him. Its time somebody told the pint sized moron that taking reel life to real life is not worth it. Moreover if he thinks that a few thousand villagers getting displaced is not worth a few million villagers getting water then he needs to be buried in the pitch at the Abu Dhabi cricket stadium with only his head sticking out as stumps and a himesh concert going on for company.

Vivek Oberoi just shutting up.

And suddenly pramod mahajan isn’t that important a piece of news anymore… why?? Ask it to the news channels and newspapers.. they may be having an answer.
He’s still critical btw. We wish him a speedy recovery. (there are times for reverence and this is one of them)

This country is seriously devoid of action and things are getting boring here.

Oh yeah the ToI had this front-page pic of a medical student chick all wet and on her knees courtesy mob dispersal water spray (just in case anybody got ideas), with all the trees and gawkers around, it did look a bit like something taken from a Hindi movie.

Honestly don’t bother fighting or protesting guys, this isn’t Nepal where you got somebody listening to you. Yeah if you like to have a good shout and it kinda soothes you or something (like the Vogons or varanata Dr. RajKumar avaru’s fans), then go ahead, but don’t expect anything.

We guys have gone through the grind during our college days as well, the jokes in the mobs are pretty alright, but then leave it at that, don’t expect anything to ‘happen’. It’s mid summer as well, so carry the glucose while you go on those marches, you’ll get the water supply anyways.

And medicos, what’s with the awkward nurse looking white coats? You’re on a strike or something like, not trying to show the world that you’re going to be doctors or something… frankly, nobody cares

Good news is, I’m just leaving the project this weekend and Antagonist’s gonna do the same in a couple of weeks’ time. But then ThinShark will continue to live on, no worries there.

Oh yeah, flip to Pune times and you get some cheap reason for Ayesha Takia (the initially pretty chick who’s now bloated and with a physical structure that leads to imbalance) to be happy.
No Calvin either.

Good news, there’s this friend in Bombay who makes it a point to mail a Calvin strip across every morn.

So much for supper…

Sallu Jailed

“Salman Khan arrested in Jodhpur” and a lot of gibberish following that.
How about that on the newspaper first thing in the morning?
When Floyd said "The lunatic is on the grass... The lunatic is in my head" they definitely didn't mean nincompoops being in jails. They were anti ridiculous news in that era, and that compared to the present seems quite golden, what?

Anyways, we, the keepers of the faith, the moral police, the unnecessary meddlers in things that don't concern us, decided (like all others of our type) to delve into the matter and come up with our own conclusions (derivations actually) based on all the on-field knowlege we could gather.

Nevermind the process we followed and such talk, here are the results:
Firstly lets inform you that none of the stuff you get to read on TOI is true, but they do really leave you with plenty of hints. (a la “The Da Vinci Code”)

Katrina comfort blows in – Alwar rapist gets 7 yrs in jail
(Just in case one thought Salman was bad ‘taste’)

This is the real story:
Salman walks in and meets Mr. Mahesh Sharma.

“Hi, I’m Sallu… me in for buck killing (probably)”
“Hi, Mahesh here, I kill only humans (definitely)”

There was a definite sobering down after that.

Elsewhere, the winds of change seems to have reached Mithu Lal Chauhan (jailor in Jodhpur)
He stated “Salman khan behaved well and has given us no cause for complaints”.

We didn’t have to go looking much coz there was a flood of news every minute, right from who lived with him to the 50 gms of “chana” and 20gms of “gur” he consumed for breakfast.

We can assure you that in the midst of all this mayhem, Mithu was looking a little blown (complimentary services by a certain Kat ).

With so much news flowing in by the minute thank god we were spared the glorious potty details.

In pop constipated Bro and up to now unheard of Sis (Alvira) married to a certain unheard of erstwhile star now a black hole (buck???). For purists… try exerting your memory to remember a certain Atul Agnihotri (not Kulkarni).. no points for guessing.. He’s not worth it anyways..

What next? Himesh does a show for jail inmates with that torn cap of his?
Now why that torn cap.. is anybody’s guess. (Curiosity kills the KAT… She went after the wrong head to blow.. but he got LUCKY )

Now more news, which hasn’t been disclosed as yet:

Bro and Sis together ran off to Ajmer to pray . You already know what the newsies told you. What you don’t know is WHY?? The buck killer graciously offered bro and sis to trade places.. and off they ran. To Ajmer to pray “God now that he’s 40+ time to give him some brains (and a shirt). You promised that many years ago.” For the fans of the shirtless wonder already know that he’s blessed with a Brawn .. a heart… and that’s about it.. The brains been missing all along.
Meanwhile, at the hospital in a metro.. MOM got sick. And guess who turned up?? Vivek Oberoi of all the people. Big Question WHY?????

What about the Nagapattinam deal? Did the amma of all tsunamis drive him back?
We didn’t bother finding out. Too much irrelevance anyways.

And wait.. before u guyz think that we’re not upto the times.. let us also tell you that the Buck Killer has just been bailed out… (no kat service this time… we definitely smell a RAT here)….
So now .. no more KAT service.. Mahesh has killed 1 human less.. and Mithu has had one too many..

Also..

There’s this big Reunion coming up (way up).

Definitely gonna cover all that. By hook, crook or Ivory.

More on that after it actually happens. Half the reuniting crowd is still on it’s way up.

Handover Activities

If it's of any significance, there's news. I'm handing over the blog to three souls viz. Antagonist (Antya), AHAK (AHAK) and Komodo Dragon (Komodo)
I had a nice time writing and all that jazz... it's now up to the pros to keep this going

cheers,
The thin one

Floyd

Go back about 3 years in time, open winamp’s voiceprint visualization option. Play a Floyd mp3 and experience heaven.

Make sure it’s pretty late at night and you are a little drowsy. Also make sure there’s nobody that’s going to enter the room and disturb you. This has to go on for about 4-5 hrs at least.

It’s better if there are 3-4 people with you and each of them should worship the band as much as you do.

Now this is music. Not the stuff that plays on the music channels these days.

If you’re apprehensive about the time travel part, get hold of a version of winamp that has voiceprint visualization. Don’t think the newer versions have that option.
Music is for the mind, not just the ear.
