Newsies Newbies... and 'out with the old'
We had this team party last night, my last in the team and for all practical purposes ‘the last supper’. There were exactly 13 people there as well. (2 morons not included while counting). Antya and Me we rather quiet for a change, The Desolate One did make an attempt to enliven things, but then it was one man's efforts, not three... it's me to pack my bags in 3 days and Antya to pack his bags in another coupla weeks and move on...
And then today morning (during the bus ride) my phone for some reason hangs while mid way through ‘Wish you were here’ and I had to tolerate Himesh for a whole 2 minutes.
Also the Antagonist , with a splitting headache since the morning found a magical cure in Himesh’s voice.. the voice makes you so numb that you forget your headache.. that’s what actually happened to the antagonist.. try out for yourself if you may (*** at your own risk).
Wish I were as optimistic as Antya… this dude’s music gives me the headaches (creeps apart).
AC Milan (the team I back) is out in the champion’s league semis. I’m perilously close to depression now although I have to concede that Barca definitely deserved to go through to the finals.
Quite a few hints…
And then there was Sallu scooting to Dubai and getting praised for it.
Aamir deciding to keep ‘rang de basanti’ (that confused movie) character he played to the movies just when most of Gujarat was about to take up arms and lynch him. Its time somebody told the pint sized moron that taking reel life to real life is not worth it. Moreover if he thinks that a few thousand villagers getting displaced is not worth a few million villagers getting water then he needs to be buried in the pitch at the Abu Dhabi cricket stadium with only his head sticking out as stumps and a himesh concert going on for company.
Vivek Oberoi just shutting up.
And suddenly pramod mahajan isn’t that important a piece of news anymore… why?? Ask it to the news channels and newspapers.. they may be having an answer.
He’s still critical btw. We wish him a speedy recovery. (there are times for reverence and this is one of them)
This country is seriously devoid of action and things are getting boring here.
Oh yeah the ToI had this front-page pic of a medical student chick all wet and on her knees courtesy mob dispersal water spray (just in case anybody got ideas), with all the trees and gawkers around, it did look a bit like something taken from a Hindi movie.
Honestly don’t bother fighting or protesting guys, this isn’t Nepal where you got somebody listening to you. Yeah if you like to have a good shout and it kinda soothes you or something (like the Vogons or varanata Dr. RajKumar avaru’s fans), then go ahead, but don’t expect anything.
We guys have gone through the grind during our college days as well, the jokes in the mobs are pretty alright, but then leave it at that, don’t expect anything to ‘happen’. It’s mid summer as well, so carry the glucose while you go on those marches, you’ll get the water supply anyways.
And medicos, what’s with the awkward nurse looking white coats? You’re on a strike or something like, not trying to show the world that you’re going to be doctors or something… frankly, nobody cares
Good news is, I’m just leaving the project this weekend and Antagonist’s gonna do the same in a couple of weeks’ time. But then ThinShark will continue to live on, no worries there.
Oh yeah, flip to Pune times and you get some cheap reason for Ayesha Takia (the initially pretty chick who’s now bloated and with a physical structure that leads to imbalance) to be happy.
No Calvin either.
Good news, there’s this friend in Bombay who makes it a point to mail a Calvin strip across every morn.
So much for supper…
Komodo Dragon
