Dhon With the wind

“Dhoni enjoys a special status. He is known internationally. He faces security threat and he should not be treated like a common man,” Chief Minister Madhu Koda, said. This is reason simple enough for the transfer of Traffic sub-inspector Saifuddin, who has been transferred to Bahu Bazar from Albter Ekka police station. Sources may say that this was a routine transfer, as routine as Dhoni or Sehwag scoring some runs.
All said and done incidents like these make you think about what’s happening? Is the use of clout (political or apolitical) the way of life? I was reading Kiran Bedi’s biography just last night and couldn’t help wondering the trials and tribulations that honest (idealistic) people have to face just to do their jobs. Kiran Bedi from what I read was almost hounded by the higher ups coz she stepped on their toes.

I can cite a million such cases when real criminals are getting away scot free , however space and time constraints force me to cite a glaring few

1)Laloo Prasad Yadav, the king of the lot who enjoys supercelibrity status nowadays due to the turnaround that the employees of the Indian railways did for him. He’s now basking in the glory of all that he’s not done whilst everybody concerned including the fifth estate seems to have forgotten that he’s still got cases pending against his name
2)Ex PMs Deve Gowda and PV Narasimha Rao to name a few who got bag loads of money and are still outta prison and leading a good life and having their share of public naps. (except for PVN of course… he isn’t leading much of a life, let alone it being good, but you get the gist)
3)Narendra Modi still enjoying celebrity status in the state of Gujarat, inspite of having the blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent people on his hands
4)The 11 models who were actually selected to play ball but didn’t have the balls to face a few rising deliveries.
5)The fifth estate , for demeaning the word news and pulling it down to an all time low.
6)Ekta Kapoor for screwing the nocturnal habits of millions of individuals.
7)Biti Mohanty the son and his copper dad who’re still outta prison.

No, I am not trying to be pessimistic. With incidents like Santosh Sharma getting convicted and Navjyot Siddhu getting to serve his time albeit after a decade , theres still hope on the horizon.

yup there is hope but hope is not all we should be living on. The reforms have to come for us to be better off and they need to come soon or there may be very less left to preserve
